5 Days in New York City: Landmarks, Culture & Neighborhoods
New York City is one of the most visited cities on the planet, and for good reason. Five days gives you enough time to explore its world-famous landmarks and dive into the diverse neighborhoods that make it unique.
Begin your visit in Lower Manhattan with the Statue of Liberty ferry, the 9/11 Memorial and a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. The views from the bridge back toward the Manhattan skyline are among the most photographed in the world.
Midtown Manhattan demands at least two days: Times Square, the Empire State Building observation deck, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Central Park, and Fifth Avenue shopping are all within walking distance of each other.
Spend your final days exploring the outer boroughs: Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood for views of the bridge, Williamsburg for independent cafes and vintage shops, and Queens for the most diverse food scene in all of New York.
